Soon, the year 2024 will be history. We look back on the past twelve months and recap the most important milestones we achieved.
New Features
In spring, we started off with one of the most extensive updates of Threema Work’s management cockpit: not only was the user management completely redesigned, but various useful features were added to help administrators manage users in a more intuitive and efficient manner. Now, tags and values like the employee number can already be assigned to a user when adding them to the subscription.
The new user management set the pace for the year. Over the following months, more features were added that streamline administrators’ daily tasks. For example, centrally managed groups and distribution lists can be automatically created and managed based on tags, and the job title and department can be provided for each employee and displayed in the contact list. Another practical feature is bulk editing in the management cockpit: administrators can now edit the details of multiple users at once. This not only saves time, it also reduces errors. What’s more, the management cockpit of Threema Work and Threema Broadcast is now also available in Spanish (in addition to German and English).
However, not just the admin console has seen some changes, also the mobile app has received various additions. As of this year, it’s possible to start and join group calls on the desktop with Threema 2.0 for desktop (beta), and messages that have already been sent can be edited or deleted for everyone.
Ranked as a Leader in Secure Communication Solutions
At the end of August, we celebrated another major achievement: in the comprehensive comparison of secure communication solutions by the US-based market research company Forrester, Threema was identified as a leader among top vendors on the market. This result is not only a testament to our commitment for rigorous data protection and maximum security but also proof that our solutions Threema Work and Threema OnPrem set the standard for secure corporate communication.
We would like to thank our customers who use Threema’s business solutions daily for secure communication, making results like this possible.
Partnership with Apostrophy
What’s even better than a privacy-friendly app? A privacy-friendly app on a privacy-friendly smartphone! With Apostrophy, we have found a partner that prioritizes privacy and security just as much as we do. Apostrophy develops an Android-based mobile operating system that provides strong privacy protection, is easy to use, and now also includes Threema out of the box.
Whatever the coming year has in store for us: we look forward to continuing to contribute to secure communication and privacy protection on the Internet.
